1. Who we are
This website and the open-source project Local AppSec Lab are published by Aviqen Technologies (Shop No. 6, Gali No. 13, Ranveer Chowk, Sambhaji Nagar, Jaysingpur, Maharashtra 416101, India) (“we”, “us”). For personal data handled on this website we act as the Data Fiduciary under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act”) and the rules made under it. See also our DPDP notice and grievance process.
2. This website
This is a static informational website. We do not run accounts, forms, comment boxes, newsletters or analytics on it, and we do not ask you for personal data. We do not sell personal data.
Like any web server, the host that serves these pages may automatically record technical request data (for example IP address, date and time, requested page, browser type) in standard server logs for security and reliability. The site is hosted by Hostinger, which retains such logs under its own policies.
3. The Local AppSec Lab software
The software runs on your own machine. We do not receive your source code, scan results, reports or credentials. The deterministic engine needs no account and no model API key.
If you choose to enable AI workers, selected redacted context is sent from your machine directly to the model host you configure (for example Codex, Claude, Cursor or Gemini), and only after you set a token budget and explicitly pass --allow-model-requests. That processing is governed by that provider’s terms and privacy policy, not ours.
4. Third parties that see your visit
When you load this website, your browser contacts services run by others. They receive your IP address and ordinary request data:
| Service | Why |
|---|---|
| GitHub API (api.github.com) | Shows the live star count |
| PyPI (pypi.org) | Shows the latest released version |
| Shields.io (img.shields.io) | Shows PyPI download counts |
| Hosting provider Hostinger | Serves the pages |
Typefaces are served from this website itself, so no font provider sees your visit. The three services above are contacted only to display live statistics; we send them no personal data beyond what any browser request includes. Links on this site lead to GitHub and PyPI, which have their own privacy policies.
5. Cookies and local storage
This website does not set cookies and does not use tracking or advertising technologies, so no cookie banner is shown. If that changes, we will update this policy and ask for consent first.
6. Retention
We keep no personal data about website visitors beyond routine server logs, held only as long as Hostinger retains them under its policies. If you email us, we keep the correspondence only as long as needed to respond and for legitimate record-keeping.
7. Your rights
Under the DPDP Act you may request information about personal data we hold, correction or erasure, and may nominate another person to exercise your rights if you die or become incapacitated. You may also withdraw any consent you gave. Because we collect almost nothing, we may hold no data about you; we will tell you so. Use the contact below or the grievance process. If you are unhappy with our response you may approach the Data Protection Board of India.
8. Children
The website and software are aimed at developers and security professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal data of children (under 18). If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Security
We use reasonable safeguards for the small amount of data we handle. To report a vulnerability in the software, follow the security policy.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. The “last updated” date above shows the current version. Material changes will be flagged on the home page.
